Frankie & Johnny Build a Prison
by Matt Harmon
February 14 - March 1, 2025
Planet Ant Black Box Theatre
Would you try to run or would you hold the one you love and know that’s the best option?
When novice carpenter Frankie and incarcerated Johnny meet while building a visitation window in a county prison, a security camera looms in the corner of the room, watching their every move. A work assignment gives way to romantic interest, and the two must confront their captors, their pasts, and time to be together. As the story unfolds and roles are reversed, Frankie and Johnny learn what must be sacrificed to create something new.
An innovative drama, Frankie and Johnny Build a Prison examines the cyclical prison industrial complex and pushes the boundaries of the two-person play.
You won’t want to miss this World Premiere Play at the Planet Ant Black Box Theatre.
